The Police Unity Tour of Virginia is comprised of Law Enforcement Officers, family members  and friends from not only Virginia, but from as far away as the State of Hawaii.  We all participate for one common cause; to honor the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.  We remember these true heroes each year with a 250 mile bicycle trek from Chesapeake,  Virginia to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC.  This event takes place every May 10th, 11th & 12th, the days preceding National Peace Officers Memorial Day (May 15th).  Over the course of the 3 day bicycle trek we wind our way through the Commonwealth of Virginia on our way to our Nation's Capital where we come together with the remaining officers riding from the North.  Together as one group, we all pedal our bicycles to the grounds of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

Upon arrival at the Memorial we are met by the Chairman of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Mr. Craig Floyd.  After a few remarks of welcome, our annual monetary contribution to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) is presented.  To date, the Police Unity Tour has been able to collectively deliver nearly 7 million dollars to the NLEOMF, and pledged to continue to donate at least 1 million dollars every year.

We recognize and appreciate those members of our communities that support and provide us with the means to carry on this mission of service to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
